"The Good Name "
The period before Islam is called " the ignorance " . In the ignorance period , there were bad habits and traditions . People were accustomed to do many wrong deeds and believed in wrong things . The holy prophet Mohammad( peace be upon him ) guided people to do good according to "Holy Quran " . Very wrong habits died out and instead , right ways took their place .
1 .Fatemeh (peace be upon her) had borne her first son . The baby smelled novelty .
His fingers was white and smooth . His eyes had a beautiful glow.
2 . The holy prophet (peace be upon him) was happy .All were happy because of his happiness .
The holy prophet"s grandbaby was born . All , thanked God for the baby"s health .
3 . The baby"s father and mother _Ali ( peace be upon him ) and Fatemeh ( peace be upon her ) when looked the baby , reminded of the holy prophet ( peace be upon him ) .
4 . The holy prophet ( p.b.uh. ) stroked the baby and said Azan * in his ear . Now it was time to call him .
Arabs - according to their culture – called their babies special names . They believed that they had to call their children the names which frightened enemy and were terrible.
Now all were waiting to see what the holy prophet ( p.b.u.p. ) and Ali ( p.b.u.h. ) would call the baby .
5 . One said ; " In my opinion , they will call him " Harb " . " Harb " means "war " . "
6 . – " No …." Sarem " , is the name which strikes terror into enemy .They will call him " Sarem " . "Sarem means " sharp sword " ."
7 . " But I say " Nomayr " … yes , they will call him " N0mayr "." Nomayr " means " panther " ."
8 . Everyone commented . But it wasn"t the same as the way of the holy plophet( p.b.u.h.)
The holy prophet ( p.b.u.h.) tighten the baby and kissed him and called him "Hassan" .
9 . " Hassan " means " Good " . This name shows the aim and the way of a muslem ,and Allah says in the holy Quran , " God likes the righteous ."
10 . After a time , a little after four years of Hejrat * Fatemeh ( p.b.u.h. ) had borne her another son . The holy prophet ( p.b.u.h.) was so satisfied of Hassan ( peace be upon him ) that he called his younger brother "Hossain " ( peace be upon him ) .
" Hossain " means " small Hassan " or " small good " .
* Azan : Some sentences that are said at the beginning of prayers and in ears of a newly born baby
* Hejrat : migration of the holy prophet (peace be upon him ) and muslems from Mecca to Medina
